Inspired by travels real and imaginary, the Atlantis Collection is a celebration of the human spirit. It is also a reflection on the power of myths and dreams in our collective unconscious.
During her travels through Greece, Three Sisters Jewelry founder Zoe steeped herself in the country’s rich history and culture, and its breathtaking understated beauty. She was struck by the harmonious juxtaposition of antiquity and modernity in everyday Greek life. With the mythological creatures, gods and goddesses of the ever-present cerulean blue sea as her muses, Zoe designed the fanciful Atlantis charm collection.
As told by the Greek philosopher Plato, Atlantis was a paradisiacal place glistening with gold, silver and other precious metals. The fabled Utopian island was ruled by the god Poseidon who fell in love with a mortal and built a palace for her on Atlantis. As the Atlanteans intermarried with Gods, they became greedy, angering the Gods who sent an earthquake that buried the island deep beneath the sea. The storied underwater island has fascinated historians, artists and explorers for millennia.
